Pearls and Dreams

Just a short post to say ... prednisone is a miracle drug ... and celebrex is my friend.

The fact that they have to be discontinued before surgeries is a cruel thing.

I spend half my time when taking them thinking that I'm putting worthless chemicals into my system for naught because they don't work.

Then I have to have a procedure or surgery that requires me to go off them ...and I find out just how much they do, in fact, work ...which is, quite well. EXTREMELY WELL!

I seem to remember having this rant on this blog last June before my knee surgery. Tuesday ... it will all be over Tuesday ... then my shoulder will be fixed and I can have my beloved prednisone back!

  1. Hang in there ... this too shall pass!

    It will be over soon!

Please let us know how you're doing, and how things turn out ... you know that we'll be thinking of you!

  2. ouch! I am thinking about you. Ive had too many left knee surgeries than I care to count-all from a near fatal car accident. So, I totally and completely understand your situation. I hope you have an awesome ortho guy who'll fix you up better than ever! I'll do a little 'get healed up soon' Indian Dance~ for you......

  3. I'll be thinking and praying about you all weekend. Don't take on too much; take everything easy. Imagine all of us as a sort of "Earthly Hosts" working the hotline to Heaven for you!

  4. Thanks all for your comments. I get very cranky at this point before surgery as I start to realize just how dependent my body is on medications to function. As the pain starts to increase ... I start to get cranky too.

I'm probably better off ignored at this point lol.
