ReplyDeleteHi all ... my mom is in the hospital having had knee replacement last Tuesday. I wish it has gone well ...but ... she's had an allergic reaction to lortab, percocet and codiene, no pain relief from morphine, and hallucinations from darvocet!
Added to that, Friday, she had to have a blood transfusion because her red blood cell count was 7.0.
Last night she was in so much pain they finally switched her to the fentenyl pain patch (our PCP asked for that switch last Wednesday morning!!!!) and today, things FINALLY seem to be evening out and she is having her first full day of therapy!!!
I ... am wiped out and exausted. One of her nurses Sunday night who is also a nursing instructor at a nearby university called me a liar ..yes, a liar ...he said "You can't have Myasthenia Gravis, people don't get that anymore, there are vaccines for that!"
Uhh .um ... no, there are NOT!
He was mad because I wasn't helping my hallucinating, in pain weak mother in and out of bed ...gee why? So I could drop her and fall on her?????????
I ran into my neuro today in the hallway ..told him, gave him the nurses name, he said "I'll correct him ... soon"

25 hours left on Habitat.
As of 2 PM Today, I am done with my Habitat hours!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIt sure feels like Christmas out there! I thought I lived in a sort of southern state ... what's with the cold????? (ok, so I've lived here for 20 + years and I should be used to our odd weather, but I'm not LOL ...not used to the heat of the summer or cold wind of the winter!)
Snowing out there right now ...again. But will it snow on Christmas day when it's supposed to snow ... NOOoooooooo of coarse not LOL
